Paul Edward Fields dies

Paul Edward Fields of New Buffalo Mich., Bradenton, Fla. and formerly of Elmhurst, Ill., died peacefully surrounded by loved ones after a brief illness.

He was born in Muskegon, Mich., to George Fields and Frances (Melvin) Ellison, both of whom preceded him in death.

Paul recently retired from Ellison Auto Parts and Engine Rebuilders, a business he owned and operated on the south side of Chicago for 51 years. Paul enjoyed meeting friends at the health club, weightlifting, working in the yard and was an avid reader.

He is survived by his wife Beverly; brother, Michael Fields; sister, Michelle Fields; daughters, Paula Fields-Mowen and Kelly Fields and son David (Jill) Fields of Chesterton, Ind.; step-daughter Leanne (David) Brown and stepson, Roy Endsley, of Chesterton, Ind.; four grandsons, Zachary and Mackenzie Mowen, Jack and Benjamin Fields; step-grandchildren, Maggie and Jake Brown and Ian and Isabelle Endsley.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Fields, and his grandson Taylor Mowen.

A celebration of life will be held in New Buffalo, Mich., this summer.
