Norma L. Gora, age 82, of Chesterton, Ind., passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2014 in Valparaiso, Ind.

She was born on April 21, 1932, in Mount Union, Penn., to John and Sadie (Miller) Woods.

She was married on July 20, 1963 in Michigan City, Ind., to Henry Gora.

She is survived by her daughters, Debra (Scott) Jones of Chesterton, Tina Burnett of Savannah, Ga., and Karen (Randall) Williams of Chesterton; seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and two grandchildren.

Norma was a homemaker and formerly worked as a secretary. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, crossword puzzles, watching musicals and old black and white movies, playing cards and board games and was an avid basketball fan.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 20, 2014, at 11 a.m. at New Life Wesleyan Church, 75 E. 1100 N., Chesterton, with Pastor Allen Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday, June 19, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.
