Margaret Suffoletta services Friday

Margaret Suffoletta, of Chesterton, Ind., passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013.

She was born February 11, 1931, in Mingo Junction, Ohio, to the late Anna and George Babela.

Marge is survived by her husband of 54 years, Joseph Suffoletta, of Chesterton; her daughter, Susan (John) Urh of Gurnee, Ill.; her sons J. Robert (Leslie) Suffoletta of Austin, Texas, and Daniel (Kim) Suffoletta of Cincinnati, Ohio. She leaves behind eight grandchildren; Joseph, Nicholas and Andrew Urh of Gurnee, James and Thomas Suffoletta of Austin, and Kyle, Drew and Megan Suffoletta of Cincinnati; sisters Rose Giampolo of Mingo Junction and Mary Ferris of South Bend, and numerous nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.

She was an excellent cook and avid reader who enjoyed old movies. She was a loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother.

She worked as a secretary for Weirton Steel and as a receptionist for Associates in Surgery in Valparaiso, Ind. A parishioner of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Marge was a member of the choir and senior club.

The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. Friday, December 6, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 638 N. Calumet Rd., Chesterton, Ind., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Father James Meade officiating. Interment will follow at Chesterton Cemetery.
