Margaret Rondinelli Mass Wednesday

Margaret Rondinelli, age 96, of Chesterton, Ind., passed away Friday, January 3, 2014.

She was born on December 14, 1917, to the late Michael and Elizabeth (Horvath) Maiolo in Jenkins, Ky.

On October 23, 1937, she married Tony Rondinelli. They were married for over 70 years. Tony preceded her in death in 2008.

Margaret is survived by her children, Anthony Rondinelli, Jr. of Hobart, Ind., Margaret Ann Tittle (William) of Chesterton, Ind., Thomas Rondinelli (Jane) of LaPorte, Ind., and Rick Rondinelli (DeAnna) of Chesterton; grandchildren, Bill Tittle Jr., Molly Perez, Cinda Rondinelli, Greta Rondinelli, Jennifer Sebring, Kari Mender, Lara Hamilton, Brittni Rondinelli, Anthony Thomas Rondinelli, and Rhett Rondinelli; and great-grandchildren, Matthew, Erin, and Max Mender, Nicholas and Olivia Perez, Luke Sebring and Ethan and Penelope Hamilton.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Jimmy and Joe Maiolo; and sisters, Mary Barrows, Rose Rondinelli and Julia Maiolo.

Margaret was a homemaker and she worked in various retail settings throughout her life. She was very active and participated in a weekly ladies group for over 30 years. Margaret enjoyed her family and held strong family values; she was a vibrant woman, a fun loving and caring person. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chesterton.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick Catholic Church, 638 N. Calumet Rd., Chesterton, Ind., with Father James Meade officiating. Burial will follow in Angelcrest Cemetery in Valparaiso, Ind.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 7, at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, Ind., from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m.
