Louise Emmaline
Jannelle, age 98 of Porter, Ind., passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014.
She was born in
Cammack, Ind., on January 7, 1916, to Wilbert and Caroline (Ferguson)
Hussong, who preceded her in death. She was adopted by Jess and Nell Pugh of
Miller, Ind., who also preceded her in death.
She is survived by
her son, Dennis Jannelle; daughter, Marianne Hellman of Porter; six
grandchildren, Jason Hellman, Michele (Kenneth) Jones, Andrea (Jim) Weekley,
Adam Hellman, Dawn (Rob) Sturgeon and Dwayne (Brenda) Stout; eight
great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and
nephews.
In addition to her
parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son and
daughter-in-law, Joseph and Donna Jannelle; son-in-law, Dale Hellman;
granddaughter, Laurie Cox; brothers, Frank, Readus, Otis, Paul, Elmer and
Robert Hussong; sister, Evelyn Walker and adopted brother, Gerald Peters.
Louise attended
Miller and Emerson Schools of Gary, Ind. She married Pierre Paul (Buddy)
Jannelle on October 11, 1937 in Gary, who passed away on June 1, 1962. She
was employed by the Ben Franklin store in Chesterton for many years before
retiring in 1987. Louise was an active member of the Chesterton Assembly of
God Church.
Funeral services
will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Edmonds & Evans
Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, IN 46304. Visitation will be held
from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at
Chesterton Cemetery.
