Karl Kugler service Tuesday

Karl A. Kugler, age 75 of Chesterton, Ind., passed away Friday, November 15, 2013 at Waterís of Duneland in Chesterton.

He was born March 8, 1938 in Gunzenhausen, Germany, to August and Frieda (Nagel) Kugler.

Karl was married to Caryl I. Hausman on June 18, 1960.

He is survived by his wife, Caryl Kugler; his daughter, Lori (Kevin) White of Portage, Ind.; sons, Karl (Gail) Kugler Jr. of LaPorte, Ind., and John Kugler of Gas City, Ind.; grandchildren, Jacquelyn Wilson, Jennifer Kugler and Natalie White; sister-in-law, June (Sigmund) Hart of Fort Mill, S. Car., three nephews, and their families.

Karl attended the University of Buffalo in New York and received a Bachelorís of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He was Superintendent of the Fuel and Utility Department at Bethlehem Steel until he retired on June 30,1993 at 55 years of age. Karl was an excellent zither player and musician. He also enjoyed watching soccer in his spare time.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, Ind. Burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 18, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
