Jack Wayne Bullard dies at age 78

Former Chesterton resident Jack Wayne Bullard, age 78 of Lecanto, Fla., passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 16, 2013.

He was born Dec. 7, 1934, in Lexington, Mo., to Lloyd and Thelma Bullard.

He married Virginia May Clift on Dec. 27, 1957.

He was preceded in death by both his parents and his loving wife, Virginia.

Surviving are his brother, Bill Bullard; sister, Jean Bullard; sons, Daniel (Karen) Bullard and David (Waleska) Bullard; daughter, Tammy Atherton; grandchildren, Nathan, Jordan, and Rachel Bullard, Jake, Ronee and Johnny Atherton, Brenna and Jenna Bullard; great-grandchild, Lily Atherton.

He served in the U.S. Army. He was an iron worker for 42 years, Local 395, Hammond, Ind. He was a Free Mason and Shriner. Jack enjoyed fishing and woodwork.

The family will continue to celebrate Jack’s life. There will be no formal services. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to Citrus County Hospice, Florida.
