Gerard Regnier dies at age 90

Gerard M. Regnier, 90, of West Lafayette, Ind., formerly of Chesterton, Ind., passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at the Indiana Veterans Home.

He was born on August 2, 1923, in Providence, Rhode Island. Gerard attended Brown University. He honorably served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

Gerard married Mary Alice Pennington and she preceded him in death in 2002.

Surviving are his children, David Regnier (Deigh) of Zionsville, Ind., Anne Regnier of DesMoines, Ia., Allison Carroll of Blenheim, NJ, Kingsley Regnier (Sharon) of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and Jim Regnier (Bernadette) of Pensacola, Fla.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by daughter Suzie Parks, a brother, John Regnier, and a sister, Marie Regnier.

He was a self-employed salesman for Holmes Equipment for over 30 years.

The family plans private services.

Burial will take place at the Indiana Veterans Home Cemetery in West Lafayette, Ind.
