Michaels, age 68, of Chesterton passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014.
He was born
September 11, 1946, in Valparaiso, to Bernard and Irma (Lenburg) Michaels.
He graduated from
Valparaiso High School and received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from
Valparaiso University. DuWayne had served as a Design Engineer with
McGillís/Emerson Bearing Division for nearly 30 years and had previously
attended Faith Memorial and St. Paulís Lutheran Churches in Valparaiso and
his parents, Bernard and Irma Michaels, of Valparaiso, sister Janet (Larry)
Nevils, of Valparaiso, uncle Elmer Lenburg, Jr., of Valparaiso, aunt Yvona
Stump, of Florida, and nephew Chad Nevils.
He was preceded in
death by one nephew, Jeff Nevils.
A visitation will
be held Saturday, December 27, from 9-11 a.m., at Moeller Funeral Home, 104
Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, with funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. and
burial to follow at Angelcrest Cemetery.
