Casmer 'Buzz' Nagroski dies at age 98

Chesterton resident Casmer “Buzz” C. Nagroski passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014, in Plymouth, Minn., at the age of 98.

He was born July 27, 1915, in East Chicago, Ind., to John and Anna Negroski.

He was married to Bertha J. (Bilke) who passed away November 8, 2010.

Buzz is survived by his daughters, Paulette Long of Valparaiso, Ind., and Edie Hermanek of Plymouth, Minn.; grandchildren, Ingrid Long, Erik (Regina) Long, Michael (Diana) Hermanek, Morgan (Adam) Johnson, and David (Emily) Hermanek; and great-grandchildren, Phoebe Johnson, Brynn Johnson, Hunter Long, Jase Long, Tabitha Hermanek and Lincoln Hermanek.

Buzz was an area resident since 1951. He was a boilermaker for Inland Steel and a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Buzz was an avid woodcarver and a proud veteran of WWII.

Arrangements are being handled by David Lee Funeral Home, Wayzata, Minnesota.
