Victor “Darrell” Racster, age 79 of Valparaiso, Ind., passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at Porter Regional Hospital, in Liberty Township.

He married Ruth Bradley Racster, who survives in Valparaiso, Ind.

Also surviving are his children Kyrstal Levi of Valparaiso and Victor “Chip” (Julie) Racster of Emmittson, Md., grandchildren Bradley Elysse, Will and Lena, as well as sibling Don (Peggy) Racster of Evansville, Ind.

A memorial service will be held at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Student Center, 1511 LaPorte Ave., Valparaiso, Ind., at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2012 with Father Kevin McCarthy officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday.

Memorials in Darrell’s name may be given to the Children’s Shrine Hospital in St. Louis, 2001 South Lindbergh Boulevard St. Louis, Mo., 63131.
