Paul A. Turgi Ed.D, LMHC, CADC, MAC, age 67 of Chesterton, passed away Friday, January 20, 2012 in Indianapolis.

He was born December 3, 1944 in Indianapolis to Robert William Turgi, MD and Ann C. Eller Turgi, both of whom preceded him in death.

Paul is survived by his son Stephen Turgi of Baltimore, Maryland, siblings John C. Turgi of Chesterton, Suzanne Turgi Myers of Carmel, Ind., Mary Turgi Schilla of Valparaiso and Lee Turgi of Noblesville, Ind., and nieces and nephews Aimee Myers Dolich, Melissa Myers Murray, Christina Turgi Price, Brittany Schilla, Kevin Myers and Chris Myers.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and nephew Brandon Schilla.

Paul was a member of the American Counseling Association, Ill., Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Counselors Association, Ind., Counseling Association, National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors and North American Association of Masters in Psychology.

Memorial services will be 7:30 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2012 at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd St., Chesterton, with Pastor Lorrayne Rizer officiating.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
