Darrell L. Easton, age 54 of Chesterton, Ind., passed away on Tuesday,
August 21, 2012 at the University of Chicago.
He was born on June 24, 1958 to Alfred Easton and Virginia Harding. His
father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Lake Station, Ind.
He is also survived by his wife, Deborah Easton, of Chesterton; sons Charles
(Karen) Easton of Mansfield, Texas and Timothy (Jenny) Easton of Lake
Station, Ind.; step-daughter Jessica Edwards of Woodstock, Ill.; grandsons
CJ and Alexander Easton; brother, Jeff (Carol) Easton of Alabama;
sister-in-law, Stephanie (Charlie) Esperson, of Ill.; and brother-in-law
Thomas (Jeanie) Hurst of Georgia. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews
and many friends also survive.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Alfred Easton.
He was an electrician for Lafarge, Operator’s Union 150. Lafarge was more
than just a place of work, it was a family. Just last weekend the company
sponsored a benefit for Darrell.
Darrell was a good husband, loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed
fishing, riding motorcycles, was an avid coin collector and loved visiting
Aruba.
The funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. on Friday, August 24, 2012, at
the White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd Street, Chesterton, with Father
James Meade officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 until 8 p.m.
that same day, with the funeral service taking place at 8 p.m. Cremation
will follow.
