Ronald Roy Ahrens, 75, of Fishers, Indiana passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2012, at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis.

He was born on June 24, 1937, to Phillip Ahrens and Leotice Ahrens in Gary, Indiana.

He is survived by Sue Ahrens; children, Janet (Al) Rochau, Carrie Hawkins, Rhonda (Frank) Hampel, Renee (Tim) Seats and Anthony (Natalie) Rivelli; brother, Dennis Ahrens; grandchildren, Jason (Jennifer) Rochau, Aaron Rochau, Carlie Hawkins, Courtney (J.J.) Heath, Casey Hawkins, Craig Hawkins, Loren Hampel, Delainey Hampel, Peyton Sousa, Mikayla Sousa, Grace Rivelli, Eliana Seats, Elias Seats and Eliseus Seats; and great-grandchildren, Davin Rochau, Kayleigh and Julien Heath.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Don Ahrens.

Ronald was a member of Heartland Church in Fishers, the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of Realtors (MIBOR), the State Association of Realtors, and the Anderson Aero Club (Radio Controlled Aircraft). Ahrens owned a real estate office in Chesterton for many years.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 24, 2012, at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, Fishers, Ind., with visitation beginning at 12:00 noon immediately prior to the service. Pastor Darryn Scheske will officiate.

Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis immediately following the memorial service.
