Richard F. Bolinger, age 90, peacefully passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012.
is survived by daughter, Pamela J. Kennoy of Michigan City; sons, Richard
(Jolene) Bolinger Jr. of Crown Point, Michael G. (Linda) Bolinger of Toledo,
OH and Michael L. Dillon of Burns Harbor with whom he made his home with;
grandchildren, Tonya (Steve) Hiscox of Chesterton, Beth Purdy of Michigan
City, Amy (Joseph) Beyer of Plainfield, IN, Kristen (Scott) Radwan of
Munster, Rebekah (Kevin) Matokar of Dyer, Jason Bolinger of Toledo, OH,
Darren (Kristina) Bolinger of Lansing, MI and Kimberly Bolinger of Toledo,
OH; great grandchildren, Alexander, Logan, Branden, Trae. Samantha and
Calvin; great great grandchild, Lillian and many nieces, nephews and dear
Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie; parents, George and
Catherine; brothers, Paul, George and Robert Bolinger.
Richard was born December 2, 1921 in Gary and graduated from Emerson High
School where he was a star athlete and met and married his high school
sweetheart. He proudly served our country as a Ranger in the US Army, and
was a member of the American Legion Post 260 and a charter member of the
Burns Harbor Lions Club. Dick was one of the founding fathers of the town of
Burns Harbor. He retired as a plumber.
