Pauline Jayne “Polly” Virden, age 74 of Chesterton, Ind., passed away
Tuesday, September 18, 2012 in Madison, Wisc.
She was born December 29, 1937 in Stubenville, Ohio, to Morgan and Mavis
(Herron) Kring, both of whom preceded her in death.
Polly is survived by her sons, Van Virden and Lee Virden, both of
Chesterton, Ind.; daughter, Lori (favorite son-in-law, Jeff) Harris of
Chesterton, Ind.; step daughter, Amber (Brian) Boswell of Chesterton, Ind.;
grandchildren, Luke Harris, Lucy (Ryan) Love, Ashley Virden, Sean Virden,
Cody Virden and Morgan Virden; step-grandson, Ryland Virden Boswell; and
great-granddaughter, Charley Jayne Love.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step father Bob Wilson; and
brother, Kerry Kring.
Polly was a lifelong area resident. She worked as a Receptionist for Ivy
Tech Community College. Polly loved her grandkids and enjoyed spending time
with them. She was an animal lover and raised Dachshunds. She also loved
riding John Deere tractors. Polly enjoyed rooting for her favorite team, the
Pittsburgh Steelers, and never missed a game.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at
Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, Ind.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 24, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at
the funeral home.
Cremation will be performed by Heritage Crematory.
