Patricia J. Crum, age 71 of Valparaiso, Ind., passed away Monday, December 24, 2012 at Porter Regional Hospital.

She was born on June 10, 1941, in McKeesport, Penn., to William R. Curran, who preceded her in death, and Bertha Behunek Curran, who survives in North Huntingdon, Penn.

Patty is survived by her children Kimberly Matuszak, of Carlsbad, Calif., and Todd Crum of Valparaiso, her grandchildren Sean, Patrick and Elora Matuszak, brother Robert Curran of Ruffsdale, Penn., sister Saundra Curran, of White Oak, Penn., special niece Krissy Curran, of Elizabeth, Penn., and nieces and nephews.

Patty was preceded in death by her husband Edward R. Crum on October 13, 2011.

She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows. Patty was a floral designer for 25 years at the Flower Cart and owner and operator of her crocheting craft business “Designs Created With Love.” Patty will always be remembered lovingly by her family and friends as ornery, caring and loving.

A Memorial Service will be at 6:00 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2012, with Father Paul Quanz officiating, at the White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd St., Chesterton, Ind.

The family will receive friends on Friday at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.
