Linda Paulette Leady dies at age 67

Linda Paulette Leady, age 67 of Ludington, Michigan, formerly of Portage and Chesterton, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2012 in Franklin, Tennessee.

She was born August 22, 1944 in Portage, Ind., to Elmer and Helen (Rogerson) Miller, who preceded her in death.

Linda was a loving wife of 50 years to Jay Leady and mother of four children, Nancy Karl (John) of Lisle, Ill., Bill Leady (Melissa) of Davis, Calif., Jim Leady (Michelle) of Granger, Ind. and Jenny Skube (Tom) of Franklin, Tenn.

She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and sisters, Jeanne McWaters and Donna Orlich.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Paul.

Linda graduated from Portage High School in 1962 and was married to Jay on July 28, 1962.

She was a longtime resident of Portage and Chesterton, moving with Jay to Ludington, Michigan in 2000.

Linda was a school bus driver for many years for the Duneland Public Schools and for the Ludington Area School District. She was loved by her family and all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 13, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, Ind. Burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery, Chesterton.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2012 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
