Kimberly D. Patterson, age 46 of Portage, Ind., formerly of Chesterton, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at her home.

She was born on May 2, 1966 to Edward and Judy Spencer Rzepczynski.

She is survived by her sons Brandon Patterson, of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Nicolaus Patterson of Chesterton. Also surviving is her father Edward Rzepczynski of Schererville, her grandmother Stella Rzepczynski of East Chicago, brother Ed (Maria) Rzepczynski of Robertsdale, nephew Daniel and former husband and friend, Darin Patterson of St. John.

Kim loved her dogs, cooking for others and fixing things, such as cars and computers.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at the White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South Second St., Chesterton, Ind., from 12-2 p.m.

The funeral service will take place also on Thursday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Chesterton Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to the family of Kim.
