Keri A. Scott, age 25, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away on Saturday,
March 3, 2012, at Arbors at Michigan City.
Keri was born on December 31, 1986, in Michigan City, to Kenneth Raymond
Scott and Diane Marie DeRango, both of whom survive.
She is also survived by one brother, Aaron Brandt, of Davenport, Florida;
grandmothers Jackie Brandt, of Tomahawk, Wisc., and Doris Frame, of
Chesterton; uncle Julius Scott of Michigan City; aunts Regina Miller,
Bellville, Mich., and Corey Falejczyk; Special Godparents, Claudette and Bob
Bente, and Michelle Watters, of Michigan City; special friends, Martha and
Corey Hall and family, Michael Hack, Amber Thompson, Ashley, Aiden, and
Micha Whittaker, Brittany and Tim Early, Sheri Horton, Sheri Belter, Britney
Logmann, Sheri Nelson, and Judith Krueger.
Her grandparents, Ernest and Dorothy DeRango, Judith and Raymond Scott,
Great-grandparents Julius and Anna Raska, and special uncle, Theodore Bale,
preceded her in death.
Keri enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She was a member of
the Berrien County Dancers at the Lakeshore High School auditorium in
Michigan. She enjoyed outdoor activities including swimming, fishing,
boating, and camping. Her favorite place to be was Maui, Hawaii. She studied
and read about dolphins.
Service will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Carlisle Funeral Home,
at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. David M. Albertin, of Immanuel Lutheran Church
officiating. The Carlisle Funeral Home is at 613 Washington St., Michigan
City, Ind.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
and on Thursday, March 8, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
