Junior F. Schrader, age 86 of Liberty Township, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2012, at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Michigan City.

He was born September 23, 1925, in Porter, Ind. to Frank and Martha Slont Schrader, both of whom preceded him in death.

Junior is survived by his cousins Irma Seymour of Liberty Township, Vern Schrader of Chesterton, Edward (Connie) Long of Liberty Township and William E. Long of Chesterton.

He farmed his land in Liberty Township, retired from New York Central Railroad and was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 3, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at the White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd St., Chesterton, with Pastor G. Thomas Jones officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:00 noon until time of service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to Porter United Methodist Church in Junior’s memory.
