Services Wednesday for Betty Wiesemann

Betty Ruth Wiesemann, age 84 of Chesterton (Jackson Township), passed away on Friday, September 23, 2011 at the Waters of Duneland.

She was born on the Lofton Farm on March 26, 1927 in Jackson Township to William and Ethel Morris-Wiesemann, both of whom preceded her in death.

She is survived by her sister, Deloris Kaletha of Jackson Township and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Also preceding her in death are siblings Francis Ray (Marian) Wiesemann, Laura M. Wiesemann, Fannie M. (Wesley) Erickson, Alfred M. (Lois) Wiesemann, Winifred C. Cota and brother-in-law Frank Kaletha.

She was a dry cleaner for Mary and Les Pratt and later was a retail clerk at Leslie Pratt Store for Men for over 40 years.

She was a faithful member of St. Patrick church and past president of the Rosary Society. She was a Champion Team Member of the Porter V-Ettes softball team. She was also an avid White Sox fan, a lifelong Jackson Township resident and she loved working in her yard with her John Deere Tractor.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at St. Patrick Church, 638 N Calumet Ave., Chesterton, at 11 a.m. with Father James Meade officiating.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 27, from 4-8 p.m. at the White-Love Funeral Home , 525 S. 2nd St. Chesterton, Ind.

The Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, 5:30 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Chesterton.

Memorials may be given to the charity of the donorís choice.
