Services Wednesday for Audrey Lipinski

Audrey Lipinski, age 72, of Westville, Ind., passed away on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 8, 2011 in Michigan City.

She was born August 9, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan to Arthur and Gretta Bartold, who preceded her in death.

Audrey loved her country and was married on the fourth of July, 1970 to Thomas Lipinski, who survives, in Westville.

She is also survived by her sons, Mark (Jan) Lipinski of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and Mike (Susan) Lipinski of Chesterton; daughter, Carrie Lipinski of Ocala, Fla. and grandchildren, Randi, Jamie, Luke, Michael and Donnae.

Audrey was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved nature and volunteered for the Friends of the Dunes, as well as Volunteers in Parks for both the National and State Parks.

She also spent time as a volunteer for Westchester Public Library, Duneland Historical Society, Chesterton Art Center and the Duneland Schools Reality Store.

She loved people and gave of herself even through death as an organ donor after passing away from unexpected complications of surgery.

Audrey managed personal rental properties and was the first Police Commissioner for the Town of Porter.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, with Father Kevin Huber officiating.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
