Raymond Mose Hahn Jr services Thursday

Raymond R. "Mose" Hahn Jr., age 82 of Michigan City, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2011, at 1:58 a.m., at Saint Anthony Memorial Health Centers.

Mose was born March 15, 1929 in Michigan City to the late Raymond R. and Clara (Ludwin) Hahn Sr.

On July 9, 1960 in Otis, Indiana, he married Stella A. Kobos Hahn, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by two daughters; Cynthia Hahn of Speedway, Ind. and Carol (Henry) Lazarek of Chesterton; one granddaughter, Emily Lazarek of Chesterton; one sister, Barbara Hancock of Michigan City; one brother, Richard "Pikey" (Barbara) Hahn of Michigan City; sister-in-law Dolores Hahn of Michigan City and many nieces and nephews.

Also preceding him in death was one brother, Alvin "Jake" Hahn.

Mose retired from Woodruff and Sons as a truck driver after 27 years of service.

He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Army and loved watching the Cubs, going to Carlson's Drive-In and spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 7, at 11:00 a.m. at the Root Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Saint Stanislaus Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 6, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Root Funeral Home.

Full military honors by Skwiat American Legion Post #451 and VFW Post #2536 Honor Guards will be held at the cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Service League.
