Perry Fishel dies at age 82

Perry E. Fishel, 82, of Princeton, Illinois, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2011, in Perry Memorial Hospital, Princeton, following a lengthy illness.

He was born on March 10, 1929, in East Rochester, Ohio, to Everett and Blanche (Kelley) Fishel.

On May 22, 1973, in Casper, Wyoming, he married Nancy Hentsch, who survives.

He is also survived by two sons, James (Barbara) Fishel of Louisville, Ohio, and William Fishel of Chesterton, Indiana; one daughter, Carol (Rick) Smith of Stagecoach, Nevada; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by his parents and one sister.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict where he was awarded two Bronze Stars. He was a member of the VFW, the Princeton Elks, had been chairman of the Princeton Children’s Care Clinic, and was a 50 year Bayard Grange member in Ohio.

Private services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are through the Fiocchi-Jensen Funeral Home, Princeton.
