Pastor William K. Dishman services Monday

Pastor William K. Dishman, age 76 of Valparaiso, Ind., passed away Thursday, August 18, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 1, 1934 in Lowell, Ind. to Wedsel and Lois (Jones) Dishman, who preceded him in death.

Pastor Dishman is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jewel (Nelson) Dishman of Valparaiso; sons, Allen (Darlene) Dishman of Chesterton, Jim (Diane) Dishman of Chesterton, Darrel Dishman of Valparaiso and Bryan Dishman of Grovertown, Ind.; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marilyn K. Dishman and brother Donald Lee Dishman.

Pastor Dishman established The Faith Mission Church in Valparaiso in 1967, where he dedicated his life to serving others.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at The Faith Mission Church, 763 N. 500 E., Valparaiso, with Pastor Herb Barker officiating.

Burial will follow at Lowell Memorial Cemetery, Lowell. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2011 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton.
