Parker Lynn Holsapple age 81, formerly of Chesterton, Indiana, passed away
December 17, 2011, at Western Baptists Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.
He was the beloved husband for 59 years of Patricia Holsapple, who along
with granddaughter Melissa Holsapple preceded him in death.
Parker is survived by sons, Jimmy (Cathy) Holsapple, of Chesterton, Rickey
(Debbie) Holsapple, of Dycusburg, Kentucky, and daughter Darlene (Larry)
Peterson, of Chesterton. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, Michael
(Angel) Holsapple, Tim (Amy) Holsapple, Daryl (Hilary) Peterson, Starlena
(Josh) Mahns, Dana (Jacob) Shreve, and seven great-grandchildren, as well as
brothers James (Virginia) Holsapple and Jerry Holsapple, and sister, Elorise
Truitt.
Parker retired from U.S. Steel Gary Tube Works after 34 years in 1982. He
was a member of Liberty Masonic Lodge #580 of Frances, Kentucky and the
Morroco Shrine of Jacksonville, Florida. His hobbies included fishing and
gardening.
Visitation will be Tuesday December 20 from 5-8 p.m. with a Masonic Service
at 6:30 p.m.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, December 21 at 11:00 a.m. under the
direction of Myers Funeral Home in Marion, Kentucky with Rev. Lonnie Knight
officiating. Burial will be at Asbridge Cemetery, Kentucky.
