Lucille Matotte service set

Lucille H. Matotte of Trail Creek, died Monday, Jan. 17, 2011 at her home. She was 95.

She was born Oct. 10, 1915 in LaPorte to George and Laura (Rozean) Pflughaupt, both of whom preceded her in death. On June 19, 1937, she married Lloyd Matotte, who died Nov. 18, 1990.

She is survived by son Clark Matotte of Chesterton; daughter Christina (husband John) Hall of Louisville, Ky.; grandchildren James, Damon, Chantel, Yvette, Hilary, Aime and Darrin Matotte; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sons David and James and sister Ruth Maloney.

Mrs. Matotte had been a homemaker. She also was president and secretary for many years at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church of Otis. She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church and taught Sunday School. She also was a member of Ladies Aide, the Tumble Weed Club for 40 years and the Trail Creek Social Club.

Services will be Friday, Jan. 21 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, with Rev. Thomas Sabel officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Carlisle Funeral Home, 613 Washington St., Michigan City and from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Michigan City. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Otis.
