Lisa June Subartowicz memorial set

Chesterton resident Lisa June Subartowicz, 40 of Chesterton passed away Monday, January 17, 2011 at her home. She was 40.

She was born July 16, 1970 in Valparaiso to Larry “Mac” McKinney and Judy (Sinks) McKinney, who survive in Marion, Ky.

Also surviving are her husband Steve Subartowicz, son Dustin Anthony McKinney and daughter Sierra Gracelyn Subartowicz, all of Chesterton; two brothers Darrin (wife Christy) McKinney of Virginia and Chris (Faith Ann) McKinney of Wheatfield; sister Dawn (husband Greg) Brentsen of Valparaiso; many nieces and nephews; father and mother-in-law Thaddus and Lottie Subartowicz of Liberty Township; and special friends Edie Rains of Burns Harbor and Peggy Sue Nowicki and Danita Cedric, both of Chesterton.

Lisa was a waitress at Peggy Sue’s Diner and enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband, Steve, taking some rides for fundraising.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, Jan. 20 from 1 to 8 p.m. for a Memorial Celebration at the Porter VFW Post 2511, 1290 Wagner Road, Porter. Memorials may be given to the family in Lisa’s memory. Arrangements are being handled by the White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd St., Chesterton.
