Kay Lynn Sopata, 61, of Valparaiso, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2011.

She was born January 30, 1950 to Edward and Bernice (Maxwell) Landgrebe who preceded her in death.

On May 27, 1972 she married Robert Sopata who survives.

Also surviving are her sons Craig Sopata of Brooklyn, New York and Kurt Sopata of Rome, Georgia; two brothers Mark (Renee) and Evan (Carol) Landgrebe; one sister-in-law Karon Landgrebe and one grandson Barton Sopata.

She was also preceded by her brother John Landgrebe.

She was the financial secretary at Liberty Middle School.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday, August 28, from 2-6 p.m. at Bartholomew Funeral Home.

A service will be held on Monday, August 29 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Eddy officiating. Burial is to be in Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.
