Josephine Tobias, the mother of a Chesterton woman, passed away Sept. 22, 2011, in Dyer, Indiana.

Tobias, formerly of Whiting, was preceded in death by her husband John Tobias.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen (Alan) Zimmerman of Chesterton and Sandra (Edward) Miller of Whiting.

She is also survived by three grandchildren, Alan Zimmerman, Angela Krieger, of Highland and Eric (Kris) Miller of Munster as well as 4 great-grandchildren Abigail, Nickolas, Emmaline and Madeline. She will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 25. from 2 to 7 p.m. at Baran Funeral Home, 1235 119th St. in Whiting.

Burial is planned for St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hessville.
