Amy Elizabeth Patitsas-Dixon, beloved wife, daughter and sister, age 35 of
Chesterton, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Loyola Medical Center
in Chicago, Ill., after a lifelong illness.
Amy was an active and vibrant young woman who loved her husband, family and
friends, as well as gardening, fashion, travel, photography and her many
cats and dogs, especially her beloved dachshund, Ellie.
Through all the hardships resulting from her illness, Amy never wavered in
her passion for life and brought joy and happiness to everyone touched by
her light and love.
Amy was born on April 25, 1976 in Merrillville, to George and Kathy (Click)
Patitsas of Valparaiso.
On January 2, 1999 she married Terry Dixon of Chesterton.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by her sister,
Margaret Patitsas of Valparaiso; Papaw John Click, Jr. of Valparaiso;
grandmother, Rose Marie Patitsas of Gary; uncles John W. Click and Roger
Childers of Valparaiso; aunt Roxann Spasovski of Beverly Shores. Also, four
cousins, Amanda Childers-Martin of Portage, Megan Click of Chesterton, Chris
Childers of Highland and Jessi Click of Hobart.
Amy is preceded in death by her aunt Pat Childers, Mamaw Betty Click,
grandfather Sam Patitsas and uncle James Click. She will be deeply missed.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at
Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave. Portage, Ind.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. until time of
service at the funeral home. Cremation will take place at Heritage
Crematory, Portage.
