Services set for Gary Paul Link

Gary Paul Link, 56, of Chesterton, died Sept. 1, 2010.

He was born October 22, 1953, in Valparaiso, the son of C. Herbert and A. Jeanne (James) Link, who preceded him in death.

Surviving is a sister Jamie (Ron) Smoker of Chesterton; two brothers, Herbert (Joyce) Link and Gregory (Jane) Link, both of Chesterton; a niece Laurie (Tony) Politano of Valparaiso; three nephews, Terry (Angie) Dougherty of Lake St. Louis, Mo., and Jacob (Joey) Link and Travis Link, both of Chesterton; great nieces, Allie, Meghan, Lauren, and Maddie Dougherty, and Chloe Link; and a great-nephew, Brandon Swann.

Gary graduated from Chesterton High School in 1971 and attended Indiana University. He worked as a longshoreman at the Port of Indiana; Gary had lived in West Palm Beach, Florida for 20 years. He was a bar manager of Church & Harold’s in Palm Beach and owned CC’s Pet Care Services of Palm Beach.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, at Bartholomew Funeral Home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.

Visitation is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until time of service.
