Charlene B. Macchiarella, the mother of a Burns Harbor resident, died
Friday, April 9, 2010. A resident of Portage, she was 65.
She was preceded
in death by her husband, Michael.
She is survived
by three children, Walter (Terresa) Macchiarella of Burns Harbor, Kim
“Cookie” (Kim Haney) Macchiarella of Hammond, and Crystal (Bryan) Poradzisz
of Crown Point; three grandchildren, Michael, Megan, and Andrew; mother,
Bernice Burns of Illinois; a sister, Carol (Rich) Farias of Illinois; a
brother, Charles Burns; and furry grandkids, Jynger, Snickers, Zena, Smokey,
Justice, and Felony.
She leaves
behind many valued friends.
Charlene was a
member of the Red Hat Society, a bargain shopper, and a master Jello maker.
She was an amazing mother and a wonderful friend.
Funeral
services, Pastor Ken Miller officiating, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday,
April 13, from Pruzin Brothers Chapel, 2700 Willowcreek Road in Portage, and
11:30 a.m. from Portage Christian Fellowship Church, 6450 Evergreen Ave. At
rest at McCool Cemetery in Portage.
Visitation is
scheduled from 2 to 8 p.m. today, Monday, April 12, at Pruzin Brothers.
