Ronald Reedy of Valparaiso passed away on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010 at his home surrounded by family. He was 66.

Ron was born September 5, 1944 in Chicago to Robert L. and Jeanette (Bednar) Reedy. He worked at Arcelor Mittal Steel for over 45 years. Ron loved to fish and watch movies. He enjoyed vacationing with his family, especially Wisconsin and Disney World. He was hard working, practical and dependable. He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his soul mate, Darlene Ramsey of Valparaiso; daughter Ronda Reedy (Tony Smith) of Valparaiso; brother, Robert Reedy of Florida; and grandchildren Kayla Dawn Reedy and Alex Smith, both of Valparaiso.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 1 at 10 a.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton. Interment will follow at Chesterton Cemetery, Chesterton. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 30 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. www.EE-FH.com
