Service set for Roberta R. Pauli

Chesterton resident Roberta R. Pauli passed away on Sunday, Jan. 10th, 2010 at her residence. She was 93.

Born on March 18, 1916 in New Kensington, Penn., she was the daughter of James and Jenny (Black) Reimer. On Dec. 18, 1946, she married Robert M. Pauli, who preceded her in death in 2007.

She is survived by her son, Richard Pauli, and daughter-in-law Rosemary Hartigan of Overland Park, Kan.; and daughter Linda Pauli of Chesterton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; her twin brother, Robert Reimer; and brother, Samuel Richard Reimer.

Roberta was a member of First Christian Church DOC in Valparaiso and the Friday’s Friends Bible Study at the church. Roberta was an avid seamstress and reader and was a very creative person making many things during her lifetime including ceramics.

A private graveside service will be held at Chesterton Cemetery on Thursday, Jan. 14. A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 6 p.m. at First Christian Church DOC, 1507 East Glendale Boulevard, Valparaiso with Rev. Jim Mitchell officiating. Memorials may be made to one’s local food pantry or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements were under the direction of Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, IN.
