Nina L. Salerno of Chesterton passed away on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010 after a
lengthy illness with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was 84.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard P. Salerno and daughter
Patricia A. Veeck.
She is survived by children Donald Arnett (wife Doreen) of Ft. Wayne,
Rebecca Rebeck (husband William) of Augusta, Ga.; Barbara Falatic of
Gary; Peggy Arnett of Chesterton; and Lisa Hoover (husband Rob) of Porter;
and numerous grand, great-grand, and great great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Rendina’s Funeral Home, 5100 Cleveland, Merrillville,
from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 20, at
10 a.m. at St. Mary’s of the Lake Church in Miller with Rev. Thomas Mischler
officiating. Burial will be at Calumet Park Cemetery. A gathering will
directly follow at Joan of Arc in Merrillville. Memorials may be made to the
VNA of Porter County, Alzheimer’s unit.
