Chesterton resident Jennie L. Dutcher passed away on Friday, June 18, 2010 at home. She was 51.

She was born March 9, 1959 in Valparaiso to John and Ethel Iona (Oliver) York, who preceded her in death. She is survived by four sons Shawn Dutcher, Mark Dutcher, Mike (wife Jackie) Dutcher and Matt Dutcher, all of Chestterton; one brother, Wesley (Beth) York of Chesterton; and one sister, Lisa (husband John) Akers of Valparaiso.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marlon, in 1989.

She was a graduate of Chesterton High School and was employed as a cook at Bass Pro Shop. Jennie was a loving mother to many.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at 2 p.m. from the White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd Street, Chesterton, with Pastor William Persuhn officiating. The burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, June 21 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the White-Love Funeral Home.
