Chesterton resident Charles Winter Clark passed away Friday, Nov. 12, 2010
at his home. He was 61.
He was born Nov. 18, 1948 in Gary to Charles L. Clark, who preceded him in
death, and Opal Irene McIree Clark, who survives in Chesterton.
He is also survived by children Kimberly Piornack of Porter, Mendalyn Clark
(fiancé Shawn) of Portage, and Steven Clark of Porter; grandchildren Jacob,
Jarett, Megan, Ashley, Abigail, Audryana and Ethan; siblings Emmaline Steele
(husband Donald) of Union Mills and Coral Henderson (Charles) of Inverness,
Fla.; and his significant other, Linda “Lynn” Fellhorn.
Chuck was preceded in death by his father, sister Charlotte, and his
son-in-law Stephen Piornack.
Chuck retired from Midwest Steel with 30 years of service, never missing a
day of work. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, fishing and
hunting and gardening, both vegetables and flowers. He was also an Army
veteran.
A funeral service will be Wednesday, Nov. 17 at 11 a.m. from the White-Love
Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd St., Chesterton, with burial in Graceland
Cemetery, Valparaiso. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 16 at
the funeral home.
