Service set for Annie C. Scott

Porter resident Annie C. Scott (nee Will) passed away Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009 in Valparaiso. She was 81.

Born on July 11, 1928 in Irvington, Kent., she was the daughter of Walter and Nancy (Carman) Will.

Annie is survived by her sons Richard E. Scott (wife Debbie) of Miller, Ind., and Robert Scott (Robin) of Westville; sister, Peggy Cole (husband Ivan) of Waxahachie, Texas; grandchildren Sherry Scur (Ivo), Heather Scott (Dan Hetler), Jessica (Will) Linebaugh (Will), Richard E. Scott III (fiancee Marsha Leyden) and Brian Kim.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Buel E. Scott, and brother, Harry Will.

She was retired from Bell Telephone as an operator. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. She enjoyed line dancing and was a member of Pioneer Women of the Telephone.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 5, at 1 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 638 N. Calumet Road, Chesterton. Father Meade and Father Schweitzer will officiate. Interment will be in Chesterton Cemetery. Visitation will be today, Jan. 4 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, IN. Memorials may be made to Porter County VNA Hospice Center, Valparaiso.
