Service set for Adam Dobrian

Adam “Jerry” Dobrian of Jackson Township passed away Sunday, May 23, 2010 at his home. He was 69.

He was born March 23, 1941 in Gary to Fred and Agnes (Stapinski) Dobrian, who preceded him in death. On July 14, 1977 in Valparaiso, he married Stephanie (Dusich) Dobrian, who survives in Valparaiso.

Also surviving are his brother Jack (wife Debi) Dobrian of Albuquerque, N.M.; sisters, Patricia Dobrian of Las Vegas, Nev. and “Terri” Theresa (husband Rick) Wormer of Laguna Niquel, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Ray.

A graduate of Lew Wallace High School, Jerry worked as an advertising executive for the Post-Tribune, retiring after 36 years. He was very active in the American Cancer Society. He enjoyed painting, sculpting and artistic design and was an avid golfer. Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date. Cremation will take place at Heritage Crematory, Portage. Arrangements are being handled by the Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society.
