Pauline Coffield of Chesterton passed away Friday, August 6, 2010 surrounded
by her loving family at the VNA Horton Hospice Center in Valparaiso. She was
81.
She was born on July 6, 1929, in Lansing, Illinois to John Yurek and Pauline
(Kacir) Yurek, both of whom preceded her in death.
Pauline is survived by three daughters, Bernice (Larry Childers) Coffield,
of Chesterton; Anita (Alvin) Davis, of Pottsboro, Texas and Mary Kay (Frank)
Epley, of Nacogdoches, Texas.
She is also survived by five grandchildren; Katie (Charles) Ralston of
Arizona City, Arizona; Sarah (Chris) Burch of Portage; Krystal Gilbert, of
Arizona City, Arizona; Robert John Coffield and Erin Epley, both of
Nacogdoches, Texas and Great-Granddaughter Charlie.
Also surviving is sister-in-law Lucy Yurek of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and
brother-in-law Bud Troppman of Lansing, Illinois.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband John Coffield on December 16,
2007, three sisters, Margaret McDonald, Lucille Bakker and Helen Troppman
and brother John Yurek.
Pauline enjoyed bingo, gardening, traveling and going to The Boat. She was
an avid As the World Turns fan and was the best mom, grandma and great
grandma anyone could have.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 on Saturday, August 14,
2010, at the White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd Street, Chesterton.
