Longtime Chesterton resident Patricia L. Lyne, more recently of Leesburg, Fla., passed away Feb. 23, 2010. She was 80.

She is survived by her husband, David Lyne, of Leesburg; children James Davis of Chesterton and Carrie Lyne (husband Jeffery) Cashner of Porter; stepson Dennis Davis of Chesterton; grandchildren Brenda and Cassie Davis and many others; and brother William Lester.

Pat’s true joy in life was family. She spent her “career” as a loving homemaker, mother and advisor. In her later years, she enjoyed traveling through the country and the Caribbean islands with friends and family. She will be mostly remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

A funeral service is planned for Saturday, March 6, at 11 a.m. at the Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton. A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Rev. Joseph Pawlowski will officiate. The family will also receive friends on Friday, March 5 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. www.ee-fh.com
