Norma Lucille Snyder service held

Norma Lucille Snyder passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, May 30, 2010 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was 92.

Born Sept. 10, 1917 in Somers, Wisc., she was the daughter of Fred and Anna Gentz. In 1923, she moved with her family to Valparaiso. She graduated from Valparaiso High School in 1936. In 1937 at the First Baptist Church in Valparaiso, she married Clelland Snyder of New Haven, Ind.

She is survived by sons James (wife Karen) of Keller, Texas and Thomas (Becky) of Warsaw, Ind.; daughter-in-law Paula Snyder of Forth Wayne; sisters LaVerne Gustafson of Valparaiso and Marjorie (husband Elmer) Johnson of Liberty Township; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clelland, son Michael, brother Wallace Gentz, sister Irene Foster, and brothers-in-law Elwood Gustafson and Kenneth Foster.

Services were held today, June 7, at the New Haven United Methodist Church with Rev. Rich Taylor officiating. Burial took place in New Haven Cemetery.
