Chesterton resident Mary E. Jackson passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2010 in
Valparaiso. She was 64.
Born July 16, 1946 in Monticello, Iowa, she was the daughter of Donald
Sterling and Lillian Elizabeth (Minnis) Lattimer, who preceded her in death.
She was married to Joseph E. Jackson, who survives in Chesterton.
Also surviving are her son, Rodney Jacobs of Idaho; daughter Debi Sanders of
Idaho; and grandchildren Bodie Sanders and Dakota Sanders, both of Idaho.
Mary was an area resident for five years, coming from Idaho. She loved
flower gardening, especially roses and orchids. She also enjoyed fast cars,
fishing and the company of her friends.
Friends may gather to remember Mary with the family at Mary’s home on
Sunday, August 8 from 3 to 5 p.m. Arrangements are by the Edmonds & Evans
Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton.
