A memorial fund for Kenneth Novak, who passed away on March 7, 2010, has been set up at Centier Bank.

Chesterton resident Kenneth J. Novak died Sunday evening, March 7, 2010 at Porter Hospital surrounded by family and close friends. He was 64.

He was born July 6, 1945 in Hammond, the son and only child of Emily Kurzeja Novak, who preceded him in death. On June 18, 1983, he married Amy J. White of Chesterton who survives.

Also survivng are sons Mark R. Novak (wife Christina) of Chesterton and Kevin E. Novak (Joslyn) of Chesterton; and grandson Zachary Novak of Chesterton.

Kenneth served in the Army in Germany in 1965 before he began to work for Inland Steel in 1968. He retired from Inland in 2003 as a production manager. He and his wife and family lived in Chesterton for 27 years.

A private memorial will follow cremation at a later date. Jerry Daniel of Michigan City will officiate. Cremaation is being arranged by White-Love Funeral Home of Chesterton. A memorial fund is being established. For more information, call Mary at 219-928-6230.
