Lucille E. Selke of Michigan City passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010 at
10:20 p.m. in St. Anthony Memorial, Michigan City. She was 83.
Born February 1, 1927 in LaPorte, she was the daughter of Willard Roy and
Elizabeth (Bowen) Kohler. On October 18, 1947 in Michigan City she married
Fred P. Selke, who preceded her in death on May 2, 2006.
She is survived by daughter, Pamela (husband Donald) Vankosky of Chesterton;
grandsons, Chris (wife Amanda) Vankosky of Watervliet, Mich., and Greg
Vankosky of Chesterton.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by brother, William
Bowen.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and was a former volunteer with
the St. Anthony Memorial Guild. She retired from Sears in Michigan City as a
sales clerk.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 29 at St. Paul
Lutheran Church, 818 Franklin St., Michigan City with the Rev. Mark Reshan
officiating. Private burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at St.
Paul Lutheran Church. Arrangements are being handled by the Ott/Haverstock
Funeral Chapel, Michigan City.
