Former Valparaiso resident Jeffrey Evan Demko of Three Oaks, Mich., passed
away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010. He was 18.
He was born Nov. 26, 1991 in Crown Point. He played football at Bridgman
High School and was named Most Valuable Player in 2009. He was also a member
of the Varsity Swim Team and Varsity Track Team.
Survivors include his parents Dr. Jeffrey Demko and Margaret Mills of Three
Oaks, Mich. and Donna Demko of Valparaiso; brothers and sisters Adrian of
New York City, Alek of Rochester, N.Y., Marisa of Valparaiso, and Christian
of Forest Grove, Ore.; and aunts Daria McDaniel, Vera Miller, and Christine
Matijkiw.
Jeffrey Evan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Steve and Olivia
Demko and Bohdan and Stefania Mak.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. (Eastern time) on Saturday, Jan. 9 at
Lake Michigan Christian Center, 9955 Church St., Bridgman, Mich. Visitation
will be from 5 to 8 p.m. (Eastern) Friday at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel,
9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman, Mich. Memorial contributions may be given to
