Chesterton resident Fern M. Doneff of Chesterton died Friday, April 2, 2010. She was 86.

Born May 23, 1923 in Danville, Ill., she was the daughter of Don and Beulah (Fauver) Melton, who preceded her in death. She married James Doneff, who survives.

Also surviving are her three children Terrel (wife Bobbie) Doneff, Carol Schmidt, and James D. (Gail) Doneff; 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held today, April 5, 2010 at noon at the Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Chesterton Chapel, 517 Broadway, Chesterton. Visitation was from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at noon. Burial will be in Chesterton Cemetery. www.ee-fh.com
