Porter resident Faye M. Misiuk, 88, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, at The Waters of Duneland.

She was born July 12, 1921, in Burnham, Maine, the daughter of Earl and Stella (Huff) Sidelinger, who preceded her in death.

On Dec. 7, 1947, in Boston, Mass., she married Stanley Misiuk, who also preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sons, Robert (Judy) Misiuk of Porter and Stanley Misiuk of Virginia; and two granddaughters, Laura (Andrew) Threatt of Houston, Texas, and Lisa Misiuk of Porter.

She was preceded in death by siblings Renie Bickford, Adrian Sidelinger, William Sidelinger, Charles Sidelinger, and Earl Sidelinger.

Faye was a graduate of Maine Central Institute and was a licensed practical nurse. She belonged to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Zephyrhills, Fla.

There will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family interment at the Sidelinger Cemetery in Burnham, Maine, will be held.

Memorials made be made to the Visiting Nurse Association of Porter County.
